I’m relatively new to the art world, but I’ve always loved visual art, and have dabbled in various forms of creativity over the years, such as ceramic painting, decoupage, flower arranging and oil painting, always striving to bring out “the beauty in the mundane” in a way that would encourage other people to see things differently.
Attending more serious art classes with a teacher who would stretch me to be more of a perfectionist, and focus on the detail, (thanks, Debra Russel) helped me take more time over each project. She also introduced me to soft pastels, which I’ve come to love, and a medium I’m learning about more with each work I create.
